Dr. Hameed Raina Brings Global Recognition to Kashmir with 4th International Award Option 3

Srinagar: Kashmiri Doctor Wins his 4th International Award in recent years for Advanced EUS and Endoscopic Technique in Gastroenterology Dr. Hameed Raina, a native of Hussipora, Chadoora in Kashmir, has again brought pride to the state by winning 2nd time best video Award for his advanced Endoscopy and EUS procedure at the 3rd International Hepatopancreaticobiliary Conference held in Dubai 2025. Dr. Hameed Raina, an accomplished world renowned gastroenterologist, Hepatologist, Advanced Diagnostic ,Therapeutic Endoscopist and Endosonographer ,presented his pioneering work and technique on “EUS-Guided Cystogastrostomy and Direct Endoscopic Necrosectomy(DEN) in Post-Pancreatitis Walled-Off Necrosis”—a highly advanced endoscopic
procedure used in the management of severe pancreatitis complications. A Graduate of Government of Medical College Srinagar and post
graduate of Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS)with an MD in Internal Medicine, Dr. Raina completed his DM in Gastroenterology and Hepatology from prestigious Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai.He also holds multiple fellowships including FMPB, FEUS, FATE, from various prestigious institutes of the world and is a member of the Royal College of Physicians, UK (MRCP-UK) Significantly, he is the first Kashmiri gastroenterologist to achieve international recognition in this specialized field of endoscopic
ultrasound (EUS) and interventional endoscopy. His innovative contributions and numerous accolades mark a major milestone not just in his personal journey, but for the entire medical community of Kashmir.
