The Jammu and Kashmir Waqf Board has passed a resolution directing Imams to address social issues and social evils during Friday sermons.
J&K Waqf Board Chairperson Daraksha Andrabi said that Imams and Khateebs will take responsibility for eradicating social evils from society. The move aims to encourage religious leaders to raise awareness about social problems through their Friday sermons.
