Ganderbal, Sept 7: A search operation was launched after a boy and a girl allegedly jumped into a power canal in the Thune area of Kangan in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district, officials said on Monday.
Officials told news agency JKNS that, the duo jumped into the canal, following which police reached the spot and launched a search operation to trace their whereabouts.
Locals have also joined the search efforts, while teams are continuing the operation in the area.
The circumstances leading to the incident are not immediately known, and further investigation is underway, officials said. (JKNS)
