Srinagar, May 13: Panic gripped residents of Stadium Colony Natipora Lane No. 7 after a group of stray dogs attacked and injured several people, including children and elderly residents, over the past few days.
According to locals, the stray dogs have become increasingly aggressive, creating fear among families and restricting movement in the area, especially during morning and evening hours. Residents said multiple people sustained bite injuries while passing through the lane, with children and senior citizens among the worst affected.
“We are living in constant fear. Children are unable to play outside and elderly people hesitate to walk through the lane,” said a local resident while appealing for urgent intervention from the concerned authorities.
The residents have urged the municipal authorities and animal control departments to immediately remove the aggressive stray dogs from the locality and take necessary measures to prevent further attacks.
Locals warned that if timely action is not taken, the situation could worsen and pose a serious threat to public safety in the area.
