New Delhi, Apr 17: Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi on Friday sparked laughter in the Lok Sabha with a light-hearted remark, saying that both he and Prime Minister Narendra Modi do not have the “wife factor,” while underlining the significant role women play in shaping individuals and society.

He noted that everyone draws inspiration and guidance from women in their lives, including mothers and sisters.

“In this House, all of us have been influenced and taught by women our mothers, sisters, and wives. Of course, the Prime Minister and I don’t have that ‘wife input,’ but we still have our mothers and sisters,” he said, drawing laughter from members.

The remark came in response to a lighter moment during the debate, referencing a comment by Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju.
