Trump Says He Wants “Everything” From Iran in Negotiations

Donald Trump said the United States achieved most of its objectives in negotiations with Iran but identified Tehran’s refusal to abandon its nuclear ambitions as the central obstacle to a comprehensive agreement.

His remarks follow the conclusion of recent talks between the United States and Iran, which ended without a full agreement after extended negotiations, with differences over Iran’s nuclear programme remaining unresolved.

“We got just about every point we needed except for the fact that they refuse to give up their nuclear ambition,” Trump said in an interview with Fox Business.

He reiterated Washington’s position that Iran would not be allowed to develop nuclear weapons. “They want to have nuclear weapons. They’re not going to have nuclear weapons,” he said.

Trump also expressed confidence that Iran would eventually concede to U.S. demands, indicating that negotiations could continue despite the current deadlock.

“I predict they come back and give us everything we want,” he said, adding, “I don’t want 95 percent. I told them. I want everything.”

The latest round of talks has underscored continuing divisions between Washington and Tehran, particularly over nuclear restrictions and the scope of any agreement.

While U.S. officials have maintained a firm stance on preventing Iran from developing nuclear weapons, Iranian authorities have consistently defended their nuclear programme as peaceful and within their rights.

Despite the absence of a breakthrough, neither side has ruled out further engagement, suggesting that diplomatic efforts may continue in the coming period.
