Ganderbal, Nov 1: Ganderbal Police secured life imprisonment for Abdul Majeed Khan, son of Abdul Ahad Khan, a resident of Gounchi Mohalla, Akhal Kangan, who was convicted in connection with the brutal murder of his wife.
The convict was found guilty in case FIR No. 50/2020 registered under Sections 302 and 201 of the Indian Penal Code at Police Station Kangan. The investigation had revealed that Khan was directly involved in the killing of his wife, a crime that had sparked outrage in the local area at the time.
Following a sustained investigation and a strong presentation of evidence by Ganderbal Police, the court pronounced life imprisonment, bringing a measure of justice to the victim’s family.
