Srinagar, Sept 17: A 52-year-old woman was allegedly assaulted by her son in Bemina area of Srinagar, leaving her injured and hospitalized.
Reports said the woman, identified as Urfana, a housewife, approached Batmaloo Police Station last evening with a written complaint against her son, Adnan, aged around 22, a resident of New Colony Bemina. She alleged that her son, who is a drug addict, physically assaulted her.
Acting on the complaint, police registered a case under FIR No. 72/2025 in Batmaloo Police Station under relevant sections of law, including 109 BNS read with 307 RPC.
The injured woman has been admitted to JVC Hospital, Bemina, for treatment, while investigation into the case is underway.
