Doda, Sept 29: Doda police on Monday said that a newborn female infant was found dead in Bathroom of GMC Doda while police have registered a case in this regard.
In a statement, a police spokesman said on 28.09.2025, at around 1600 hours, a dead body of a newborn female baby (aged approximately 5–6 months) was found abandoned in the bathroom of the Emergency Ward, GMC Doda.
Taking cognizance of the matter, Police Post District Hospital (PP DH) Doda registered FIR No. 221/2025 under section 94 of the BNS.
The Investigating Officer (I/O), along with the FSL Team and Crime Photographer, visited the spot and carried out necessary legal and scientific formalities. The body was taken into custody for medico-legal examination.
Investigation into the case has been set into motion and further legal action is being taken as per law. (KNC)
