Bollywood was left in shock late Friday on June 27 when actress and model Shefali Jariwala, famous for her music video Kaanta Laga, died due to cardiac arrest. She was 42. According to media reports, Shefali suddenly experienced chest pain at her Mumbai home. Her husband, actor Parag Tyagi, along with three others, took her to Bellevue Multispeciality Hospital in Andheri. Tragically, doctors declared her dead upon her arrival.
As per the latest reports, the hospital revealed that Shefali had already died before she arrived. Shefali rose to fame after her famous video in 2002 as the ‘Kanta Laga girl’’ took India by storm. Her sizzling remix video cemented her place in pop culture. She was later seen in movies like Mujhse Shadi Karoge and also participated in popular reality shows, including Bigg Boss 13 and Nach Baliye seasons 5 and 7. Despite her public personality, she has struggled with health issues. Shefali got married to musician Harmeet Singh, who was part of the Meet Brothers duo, in 2004, but the couple got divorced in 2009. Later, she tied the nuptial knot with actor Parag Tyagi in 2015.
