“Operation Sindoor Was to Teach Pakistan a Lesson”: LG Manoj Sinha After Visiting Shelling-Hit Families in Jammu

Jammu, May 12: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Monday visited the shelter and lodgement centre at Sahib Bandgi Ashram in Mishriwala to meet families displaced by Pakistani shelling, reaffirming India’s firm resolve against terror and its unwavering commitment to national sovereignty.

While addressing the affected families, LG Sinha said, “India always advocated for peace. It never wants a war but what happened in Pahalgam was an act of war by terror state Pakistan. With ‘Operation Sindoor’, we have avenged Pahalgam. I am proud of our soldiers and armed forces. Our war was to teach Pakistan a lesson.”

He stated that the entire country stands with the families affected by cross-border shelling, adding that the government is committed to ensuring their safety and welfare.

Emphasizing India’s stance, Sinha said, “India will never compromise on its sovereignty and territorial integrity.” He hailed the armed forces, saying, “Our Armed Forces have repeatedly demonstrated their capability to respond decisively to threats posed by terror state Pakistan.”

The Lieutenant Governor condemned Pakistan’s role in harbouring and exporting terrorism, holding it responsible for inflicting suffering through its proxies in the region.

Referring to the recent retaliatory action, he said, “We are resolved to dismantle the entire terror ecosystem from Jammu & Kashmir. On the night of May 6th–7th, our Armed Forces executed a precise Operation Sindoor, demonstrating both unwavering resolve and commendable restraint, and successfully demolished terror factories in Pakistan, avenging the killing of innocent civilians in Pahalgam.”

He added that any threat to the safety of Indian citizens would receive a response so strong that “the action of our armed forces will be remembered by seven generations of Pakistan.”

The LG also thanked individuals and organisations providing support to the displaced families and assured that protective bunkers will be built based on updated assessments to ensure civilian safety. (JKNS)
