Srinagar, Apr 10: Chairperson of Jammu & Kashmir Mass Movement, Fareeda Behangi, on Thursday dissociated herself and her organisation from both factions of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) and any group pursuing separatist ideology.
In a public declaration, an affidavit, a copy of which is in possession of news agency JKNS reads that neither Fareeda Behangi nor her organisation has any connection or affiliation with APHC (G), APHC (A), their constituents, or any other entity supporting separatist narratives.
The affidavit further mentions that her organisation does not support or sympathize with the ideology of the APHC, which it says has failed to address the legitimate aspirations and grievances of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
It also warns that any use of her or her organisation’s name with APHC or similar groups will be liable to legal action.
The affidavit reads at the end with Fareeda Behangi affirming that she is a loyal citizen of India and that both she and her organisation owe complete allegiance to the Constitution of India. (JKNS)
