Tehran, Sept 29: Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) confirmed that Abbas Nilforoushan, an IRGC commander and military advisor, was martyred in an Israeli air raid on the Lebanese capital, Beirut.
In a statement cited by Faras News Agency, the IRGC announced that Brigadier General Abbas Nilforoushan, a war veteran and military advisor with the IRGC, was martyred in Israeli airstrike on Beirut on Friday morning.
The IRGC noted that the martyred commander had dedicated his life to supporting the Resistance Front, ensuring the security of Iran, and working toward the liberation of Holy al-Quds.
The IRGC expressed its condolences over Nilforoushan’s martyrdom to the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, the martyr’s esteemed family, and the Iranian nation.
Martyr Nilforoushan played a key role in strengthening the regional Resistance Front against Israel.
