Srinagar, July 30: Divisional Commissioner Kashmir VK Bidhuri on Tuesday extended an open invitation to people of Kashmir valley for 15th August celebrations at Bakshi Stadium in Srinagar.
“I extend my invitation to everyone to attend the Aug 15 function which is going to be held at Bakshi Stadium Srinagar this year,” Bidhuri told news agency Kashmir Dot Com.
“Like January 26 this year, I again invite people to come and join the celebration of August 15. I hope you will respond and join the function,” he said.
The Div Com assured that 15th August programme at Bakshi Stadium will have no restrictions on public movement, and a valid ID card will suffice for entry.
Bidhuri said that there will be no restrictions in Kashmir and that the internet and other services would function normally on Independence Day.
Security measures are in place, with intensified arrangements in specific areas to ensure the safety of all attendees.
It has been informed that the Independence Day Function 2024 is scheduled to be held in Bakshi Stadium Srinagar on 15th of August in which the Lieutenant Governor, Jammu & Kashmir, UT will host the National Flag. (KDC)
