Butcher Arrested in Kulgam for Selling Dead Animal Meat Ahead of Eid

Kulgam, Jun 11: Authorities in Kulgam have arrested a butcher and sealed his shop after discovering he was selling dead animal meat. The action comes as market inspections intensify ahead of Eid ul Adha, directed by the Deputy Commissioner of Kulgam.

The team found substandard meat and confirmed the butcher was not using the official slaughterhouse, where meat quality is strictly supervised and stamped.

Residents are urged to verify the official seal on meat products and report any violations to the Control Room at 91034 24365.
