Srinagar, June 03: Top Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) Commander Riyaz Ahmad Dar and his associate were killed in a gunfight in the Nihama area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Monday.

A senior police officer informed Kashmir Dot Com that the encounter resulted in the deaths of two terrorists, identified as Riyaz Ahmad Dar, a resident of Sethar Gund Kakapora, and Rayees Ahmad, a resident of Lerve Kakapora.

Riyaz Ahmad Dar, one of the longest-surviving militants, had been active for the past eight years and was wanted in numerous militancy cases, making this a significant breakthrough for the police and security forces.
