AGRA: A peculiar incident unfolded in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, when a woman demanded a divorce from her spouse due to his failure to bring her a packet of Kurkure.

The woman’s craving for the spicy treat was so intense that she would request her husband to purchase a Rs 5 Kurkure packet for her on a daily basis. This seemingly trivial matter led to frequent arguments between the couple.

One fateful day, the husband inadvertently forgot to bring home his wife’s beloved snack. “Angry at being denied her daily indulgence, the woman reportedly left her home and went to her parents’ home.” Determined to end her marriage over this issue, she approached the local police authorities and sought a divorce from her husband.

In response to the woman’s complaint, the police have referred the couple to undergo family counselling in an effort to resolve their differences and salvage their marriage.
