Significance of Salat-al-Tasbeeh ki Namaz
The significance of Salat al-Tasbeeh Ki Namaz is underscored by a heartwarming story from the life of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. It is said that the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, in his boundless compassion, once turned to his beloved uncle, Hazrat ‘Abbas (R.A), and asked a question that would unveil a profound gift. He said, “O Abbas, O my uncle! Shall I not give you a gift? Shall I not show you something by means of which Allah will forgive your sins, the first and the last of them, the past and recent, the unintentional and the intentional, the small and huge, the secret and open?”
In continuation, the Holy Prophet ﷺ proceeded to teach Hazrat ‘Abbas the Salat al-Tasbeeh, a prayer that symbolizes Allah’s mercy and the promise of forgiveness. This poignant story emphasizes the prayer’s importance as a path to divine forgiveness and spiritual renewal, a gift from the Prophet himself to his beloved uncle and, by extension, to all believers who seek Allah’s pardon and blessings.Let us delve deeper into the steps and spiritual richness of this extraordinary prayer.

Step 4: After reciting Surah Fatiha and another Surah, recite this tasbeeh 10 times.
Step 5: During Rukuh, after saying prescribed glorifications, recite the tasbeeh 10 times.
Step 6: After standing up from Rukuh, recite the tasbeeh 10 times.
Step 7: In the first Sajda after glorifications, recite the tasbeeh 10 times.
Step 8: In the Jalsa (between the Sajda) recite the tasbeeh 10 times.
Step 9: Again recite the tasbeeh 10 times in the second sajdah.
Repeat this procedure for all four Rak’at of the Salah-ul Tasbih to complete the count of the tasbeeh to 300.
It is important to take the following considerations into mind while performing this salah:
- Do not count loudly
- Do not count by moving fingers.
- It is recommended to count by gently pressing the fingers as a reminder
- If a count is missed in any position, make up for it in the next posture
- Try to keep the mind as focused on the Dhikr as possible.
- Slowly but eventually, the tasbeeh will start melting your heart during the salah, and give you an unprecedented spiritual experience.
- Since the tasbeeh is about praising Allah and His blessings, it is a good practice to keep reminding yourself of His blessings and favors as you recite the tasbih.
With the advent of Ramadan, it is an excellent time to incorporate it into our Ibadah to reap the full benefits of this excellent prayer.
