Thousands throng Dargah Hazratbal to commemorate Hazrat Syedna Ali’s (RA) Martyrdom

Srinagar, Apr 01: Thousands of devotees converged at the revered Dargah Hazratbal Shrine in Srinagar on Monday to pay homage to Hazrat Syedna Ali (RA) on the occasion of his martyrdom day, observed on the 21st day of Ramadan.

Emotional scenes unfolded as the Holy relic displayed at the Dargah Hazratbal evoked profound sentiments of reverence and devotion among the gathered faithful.

Additionally, the atmosphere at Dargah Hazratbal Shrine was filled with devotion as devotees from across the region gathered to offer prayers and seek blessings on this auspicious occasion.

According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), local residents expressed their deep reverence for the significance of his martyrdom. “This day holds immense spiritual importance for us, and it is a solemn occasion for reflection and prayer,” remarked Mohammad Amir, a resident of Srinagar.

Another devotee, Ubaid, shared his sentiments, saying, being here on such a day fills our hearts with peace and tranquillity, reminding us of the teachings and sacrifices of Hazrat Syedna Maula Ali.

“As we gather here today, we are reminded of the enduring legacy of Hazrat Syedna Ali (RA). His martyrdom holds deep spiritual significance for us, serving as a time for solemn reflection and heartfelt prayer,” added Ubaid.

Lastly, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq also delivered a sermon on the occasion of martyrdom anniversary of the 4th Caliph of Islam, Hazrat Imam Ali (RA), at the famous Shrine of Dastgeer Sahib Saria Bala Lal Chowk in the heart of Srinagar today—(KNO)
