Knife attack in Srinagar, Police registered FIR

Srinagar, Feb 09 (KS) : Police in central Kashmir’s Srinagar district have registered a case in relation to a knife attack incident.

A police officer informed the news agency Kashmir Scroll that a case has been registered in connection with the knife attack, which resulted in a youth Shafat Ahmad being injured. The attack took place when some unidentified individuals used a sharp-edged weapon to assault him in Mundir Bagh, Srinagar.

The officer stated that action has been taken and those involved in the crime will soon be apprehended and brought to justice.

Pertinently, this is the second knife attack incident in Kashmir within the past 24 hours. On Thursday evening, a youth by the name of Muneer Ahmad Dar, son of Ghulam Qadir Dar and a resident of Bumhama Kupwara, was injured after being stabbed with a sharp-edged weapon near Baber line. He was subsequently taken to GMC Baramulla for advanced medical treatment. (KS)
