Srinagar, Feb 5: Tramboo Sports, led by Hamaad and Saad Tramboo, aims to globalize Kashmir willow and dispel misconceptions. However, controversy arose when the Cricket Bat Manufacturers Association of Kashmir (CBMAK) took legal action against Sony Pictures Networks, the creators of ‘Shark Tank India,’ and Tramboo Sports Pvt. Ltd. over alleged misrepresentation during the episode aired on January 30th, 2024.

While talking to Asian News Hub, Saad Tramboo clarified that despite our Shark Tank India journey gaining attention, local competitors falsely claimed sole manufacturing status. We underscored the presence of 300+ manufacturers in Kashmir, fostering healthy competition.”

He said, “The televised pitch on Shark Tank India was a brief excerpt from a presentation lasting over an hour, leading to misunderstandings.”

“Tramboo Sports operates as a direct-to-consumer (D2C) brand, enhancing bats from local manufacturers.”

Saad Tramboo emphasized, “We encourage everyone to prioritize business development, contribute positively to the local entrepreneurial ecosystem, and embrace collaboration over competition for the benefit of the entire local startup community.”

Hamaad and Saad Tramboo, are Co-founders of Tramboo Sports.
